Answers to common questions

Reglazing

How long will my reglaze take?

This all depends on the type of lenses you need, and any coatings required. Most standard single vision reglazes will be completed within a few days. Reglazes that require customised lenses (high index, varifocals, polarised, transitions etc.) or single vision lenses with high prescriptions may need to be ordered and can take up to 14 working days before completion.

Do you reglaze prescription sunglasses?

Sure. All sunglass lens extras will be added to the reglaze prices. Lens extras can be found on our lenses and coatings page. We can also replace non-prescription sunglasses lenses with our own tinted or polarised stock lenses.

Will my glasses need re-fitting after the reglaze?

As we are only changing the lenses your frame should fit like it did before the reglaze. Our laboratory technicians will carry out any adjustments to ensure your frame fits comfortably in the correct position.

What happens if my glasses break during the reglaze?

Our highly skilled and experienced technicians take great care when reglazing customer’s glasses, however breakages can occur. Although this is extremely rare we do have to state that reglazing is carried out at the customer’s own risk. Every frame will need to withstand the glazing process and will therefore be examined by our technicians beforehand.

Are your branded glasses genuine?

Yes. We are an authorised retailer for all of the branded frame and sunglasses stocked in our showroom. All of the frames we stock are ordered direct with the manufacturer, come with a warranty and official case and cleaning cloth.

Do you stock replacement parts?

We stock a wide range of replacement parts such as nose pads and screws in a variety of styles and sizes. Temples, sunglass lenses and trims will need to be ordered direct with the manufacturer and usually arrive between 7-10 working days.

Do you stock saftey glasses?

Yes. We stock a wide range of industrial safety glasses and goggles by Bollé. Established in 1888 and an industry leader, Bollé manufactures eyewear that meets the highest protection standards. Their eyewear collection is comfortable, stylish and guaranteed to protect your eyesight at work.

Other Services

Can i get my current glasses reglazed?

Although we sell a large selection of ophthalmic and sunglass models, we understand how comfortable customers are with their existing frames. Simply bring in your frame and your prescription and a member of staff will advise you on choice of lens packages and cost.

Can you make fitting adjustments?

Yes. Please visit the store and one of our laboratory technicians will carry out your required adjustment.

Do you offer repairs?

Yes. Pop by the shop and one of our laboratory technicians will access your frame before undertaking the repair. Sometimes a replacement part may need to be ordered (e.g. temple) rather than carrying out a repair. You will be advised on the cost before any fitting is undertaken.

As we do not charge for minor repairs we would very much appreciate a donation to one of our in store charities.

Do you offer same day glazing?

Our on-site laboratory allows us to glaze most single vision prescription lenses in the same day. Strong prescriptions or special lenses (such as varifocals or bifocals) will need to be ordered and may take up to 14 working days before completion.

Do you have disability access at your shop?

There is a permanent wheelchair ramp to facilitate entry and exit to our showroom. Wheelchair accessible cars can park in any of the spaces at the rear of the property.

Is there designated parking at your shop?

We have designated parking spaces to the side of our store and an overflow car park at the rear of the building.
